The Untamed Lens

About

Untamed Lens is rooted in observation and patience, grounded in wild places rather than a single landscape. I’m drawn to environments where nature operates on its own terms. From open backcountry and high plains to shifting coastlines and tidal edges, I look for where elements meet and shift, where wildlife moves through its own rhythm, and where land is marked by wind, water, and time.

Wildlife sits at the center of my work, but landscape shapes the story around it. I work primarily with natural light and minimal intervention. Composition and timing matter more than manipulation. What you see is the atmosphere as it existed in that moment.

Many of these images come from waiting. Watching. Letting the scene unfold without forcing it. No staging. No manufactured drama. The goal is not perfection. It is authenticity and presence.

Whether it is a bison at dawn, a raptor riding thermals, or surf reshaping the edge of land, each image reflects something that cannot be recreated.

Nature does not perform. It reveals itself. My role is simply to recognize when it does.
